Trevor and Michaela often went to the San Gregario Beach after class in the summer to unwind from school and so Michaela could add to her photography assignments for class.
One quiet Tuesday after school, Michaela and Trevor drove out to the same old beach on a whim. After dating for 2-1/2 years, Trevor proposed to Michaela on 17 June 2003.
Michaela happily accepted, and after a long stroll on the coastline and many hugs and kisses, they returned home.
Trevor sought for and received the blessings of both of Michaela's parents and the wedding planning started.
